The fundamental goal defined for this proposal is to reorganize and revitalize the current Public Parking Facility in Jeongneung-dong so that it becomes a new and attractive spot for citizens.
The ambition is to create a building capable to accommodate all required bus parking spaces while avoiding the noise, smoke and fumes to reach the users of the facilities and garden.
The goal is also to create a building that merges the beauty of Bukhansan with the culture and activity of the city. Therefore, the idea is to provide with spectacular views to the mountain from all interior spaces as well as to provide a large scale garden on the roof top that connects citizens with Nature and culture.
The project intents to provide various formats of publicness. Poetry and other cultural activities can be practiced in various environments; interior spaces, public plaza or in the garden.
Finally, the intention is to create a permeable building that allows citizens to walk from the stream level to Bomun Road level.
